Dana is nearly divorced and her ex gave her some oddball story about getting a job and having to go to California to train for a while. No real time line given.
She's not stupid. Something was up. He just doesn't go out and get a job. And go to training. It was an elaborate story. His mom even gave Dana the training center he was at.
So she thought maybe he met someone and took off for a while, but that doesn't explain a long abscence.
But jail does explain it. And that stuff is public record. And you can find it online. Which was done in under 5 minutes of searching. I printed it out. What a dork he is.
